The Friends are responsible for:- 

-        managing the Pre-school’s finances.

-        reviewing both policy and practice.

-        the employment and appraisal of staff.

-       making sure that the Pre-school works in partnership with children’s parents/carers. 

The Friends also organise fund-raising events in order to buy new toys and equipment.

All parents / grandparents are welcome to join the Friends of Meppershall Pre-school.

How you can help and be involved

We recognise parents as the first and most important educators of their young children, our Pre-school aims to support this.  We encourage parents to share with our staff information about their children’s needs, any activities and interests they enjoy and what progress they have made. Any help is always welcomed. There are several ways in which parents can support the running of our Pre-school such as:- 

-         Joining us in a session to see what happens.

-         Giving assistance with fund raising.

-         Allowing the children to enjoy the wider community by walking out with the children and staff.

-        Offering to wash tea towels or buy shopping (reimbursed) on a rota basis: usually no more than once every half term.

-        Becoming a Friend of Meppershall Pre-school.
